Jeremy Bites Back
Tory Whip, Andrew Griffiths, is alleged to have told Jeremy Corbyn, "You should be in Care", when Corbyn touched on Social Care during budget his reply yesterday. Corbyn went off script and attacked the Tory calling him uncaring and uncouth. He was called to order by the Deputy Speaker, such was his outrage at the lack of empathy.

Spot the Answer
Liz Saville Roberts MP, Plaid Cymru, asked Theresa May if the government would be ceasing their supply of nuclear substances to Russia as one of her first sanctions in retaliation for the Salisbury poisoning, given that Russia is the UK's biggest weapons grade nuclear substances export market. Will the Prime Minister Apologise?
After the PM suggested her claims of death threats and abuse were "humbug" in the House of Commons a couple of weeks ago, Labour MP Paula Sheriff said the abuse she receives has increased since the Prime Minister refused to apologise for his comments. Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn, invited the Prime minister to intervene at this stage and apologise for his comments. What do you think he did? https://www.thedailypolitik.com/ #TheDailyPolitik, #Labour, #UKPolitics, #Democracy, #JeremyCorbyn, #LauraPidcock, #Brexit, Please remember to like, share, subscribe and support our channel ☺

Corbyn smacks Johnson down
The Prime Minister failed to get his General Election today, after the PM continued to refuse to take a no deal brexit off the table - a condition without which the Labour Party refuse to agree to a general election. Corbyn said it was down to trust, and reeled off endless examples of Boris Johnson lying and abandoning his own pledges - whilst the list was long, it didn't even put a dent in the definiteive list. Johnson intervened at one point in Corbyn's speech to stress that his government would always obey the law. Corbyn responded by reminding the House of Johnson's unlawful prorogation of parliament. Corbyn also brought to light the fact that the Theresa May had once been offered Boris Johnson's deal when she was Prime Minister, but had rejected it, saying it was not good enough for the United kingdom. Presumably it is not good enough for Johnson either, as he seems intent on keeping no deal on the table. https://www.thedailypolitik.com/ #TheDailyPolitik, #Labour, #UKPolitics, #Democracy, #JeremyCorbyn, #LauraPidcock, #Brexit, Please remember to like, share, subscribe and support our channel ☺

The Pacifist & the Bully
John McDonnell just tweeted, "Jeremy Corbyn exposes Johnson’s incapability of mastering detail and his tendency to flounder & resort to shouty bluster & personal abuse when he fails to understand the questions let alone know the answers. He is an incompetent, embarrassment to the office he holds." Spot on Macca. It should be clear to everybody that Johnson is all mouth and no trousers. Full of bullsh*t and bluster, aggressive and duplicitous. He answered no questions in today's PMQs - no change there from the previous incumbent - but used his time to tell lies and half truths while attacking the man at every opportunity. Corbyn, on the other hand, focussed on issues, on facts and delivered his questions with a calm confidence that you would want in someone who might one day have to decide whether or not our country goes to war. Some will be fooled by Johnson's braggadocio and see Corbyn's quiet manner as weakness but the Labour leader is purposeful, determined and has a strength of character Johnson will never possess. Watch and listen to the exchanges carefully and this will become self-evident. https://www.thedailypolitik.com/ #TheDailyPolitik, #Labour, #UKPolitics, #Democracy, #JeremyCorbyn, #LauraPidcock, #Brexit, #BorisJohnson, #CorbynVsJohnson, #JeremyVsBoris, #Pacifist, #Bully Please remember to like, share, subscribe and support our channel ☺

How to be a leader!
19 Labour MPs voted with the government yesterday (329 to 299) to approve the 2nd reading of Johnson's deal. During the debate before the vote some explained why they were doing it. Watch how Jeremy Corbyn handles the news. This is modern leadership, grown up, concilliatory, inclusive. No threats from Corbyn for the whip to be removed. Understanding and consideration. He asked that they at least consider voting down Johnson's attempt to railroad the Bill into law over the next two days with little or no scrutiny of its many flaws. When one of the Tory MPs tried to make hay out of the Labour 'revolt' Corbyn almost ate him alive. Only 5 Labour MPs (Caroline Flint, Kevin Barron, Jim Fitzpatrick, Kate Hoey - going against her DUP friends, and of course, John Mann) voted with the goverment on its timetable for the bill which was voted down by 322 to 308. Interestingly, Tories like Ken Clarke, Philip Hammond, Justin Greening, Dominic Grieve and Rory Stewart also voted down the timetable. https://www.thedailypolitik.com/ #TheDailyPolitik, #Labour, #UKPolitics, #Democracy, #JeremyCorbyn, #LauraPidcock, #Leadership #BrexitDeal #LisaNandy #GloriaDelPiero Please remember to like, share, subscribe and support our channel ☺
